    That’s definitely a penalty.

Clearly no home field advantage from these refs.

the bundesliga continues to be a joke.

    Harsh decision, 50-50 for me

I mean, I get why that’s a penalty. I don’t disagree. It just makes it worse they didn’t give BVB the penalty 10 min ago.

They did not give a penalty for Dortmund because there was no foul. That was a challenge that happens 10 times per game

Why take Haaland out unless you are willing to concede the game. He’s looked in good fitness. I get not wanting to overwork him, but what’s another ten minutes?

For me it was one of those plays where, as a Bayern fan, I didn’t think it was a penalty, but if it happened to a Bayern player, I would be disappointed it wasn’t a penalty.

If that penalty was given for Bayern I would definitely say we were very lucky. Theres a minimal push from Lucas, but that is just not enough for a penalty.
The Hummels incident is a different story. I think strictly going by the rules it is a penalty but if you take intention into account Hummels was just very unlucky.

Either way, I actually hate that we won because of that controversial incident. I didn't even celebrate when Lewy scored the penalty because I knew how the narrative would go after the game.

That quote in the tweet were my actual thoughts at the beginning of the game when I realized that Zwayer was the ref

Both were pens imo. Clumsy tackle, clumsy attempt to get a head to the ball.

  20. Whether or not it was a smart thing to do, I’m glad we made him mad by firing him right before a cup final lol

Wait, how does a ref who match fixed in the past still allowed to ref at the professional level???

It's a little bit more nuanced. Zwayer was the linesman alongside of ref Robert Hoyzer in one game in 2005. It was later revealed that Hoyzer was involved in a huge match fixing scandal. And Zwayer actually took 300 € from Hoyzer in that one game to keep quiet. It is not clear if Zwayer also was actively involved in the match fixing but he did not report the bribe to the DFB. He eventually got suspended for 6 months but that was not publicly announced by the DFB at the time, which raises even more questions about his involvement. It only got public 10 years later. Either way, he eventually got promoted to one of the top German referees.

Zwayer was part of the group that reported it to the DFB afterwards, wasn’t he? That probably got him some brownie points.

Yes, but only half a year later. Which makes it so suspicious.

That’s wild. I feel like anyone apart of that ref crew should be barred from professional sports.

Don’t need to worry about that here - not enough people pay attention to buli to have to hear the complaints. I was excited, no shame. :)

Generally I don't care. And I know here in this forum most users are pretty chill. But overall it's always the same when we play Dortmund. Afterwards their fans always complain about the refs decisions, every single time.
