  1. I’m excited to see how Ragnick changes United. I’m very high on him. And I’m assuming the upcoming windows will be very good with him at the helm.

Weird game. I didn’t think Arsenal were that bad to be honest. We looked good in patches and as usual in others. Rangnick has a hell of a job to do.

  4. 2 points out of 4th with a game in hand. We’ve been utter shit this season but luckily every team outside the top 3 has had stretches of the same.

  6. Wonder what club will give him a chance as manager

Ah I’m sad about that. Top class man. Only unbeaten United manager?

Really enjoyed Rangnick’s presser. Enjoy how direct and confident he is in his speaking.

Thinking about last night’s game. Couple of thoughts:

    1) we crumble under sense of occasion, be it big games or high pressure environments. It’s a lack of experience thing but it needs to be looked at before it becomes formative. I suspect we play well over the next month then lose to Spurs in the next big game.

    2) We still don’t create enough and that is causing issues with Aubameyang. He needs more chances and if we can’t do that, we beed a change. His confidence is shot, you can see it in his face. The truth is we need a new forward, and i can see why we are willing to spend £80m in Jan on Vlahovic.

    3) Partey was awful. So many lazy misplaced passes. It’s becoming worrying how hot and cold he can be. He will do something great and then something stupid. Some matches he is brilliant, and some he looks a shadow. Is it fitness, confidence..? All his running, passing, pressing metrics are down hugely.

    4) xhaka and Lakonga are needed back. Elneny is a 5/10 player who will likely go in January. He shouldn’t be playing. AMN is a better option too.

    5) United aren’t good either but under Rangnick they will vastly improve.

  10. Last night was a step in the right direction but I cannot wait to get some new CBs. Dier has actually been pretty solid since Conte came but I still don’t trust him. He made a few awful passes out of the back yesterday that will kill us against better teams.

Davies has also improved under Conte. I definitely think LCB gets the best out of him. But him and Dier are still liabilities imo.

We still need more quality in those positions. Like, if this system can make those 2 look competent, imagine what more talented players will do.

    hmmm

West Ham were looking pretty comfortable before then.

Those diagonal runs Mount makes in behind are really difficult to track.

I don’t really think so, Chelsea weren’t penetrating really but the West Ham back line doesn’t seem to be communicating properly, they’re rarely together in a line and it’s giving a chance for runs in the channels and out wide. Chelsea haven’t properly taken advantage of that as yet though.

What a funny penalty to give away.

Crazy that Mendy wasn’t booked. I really just don’t understand some refereeing decisions. Any other player on the pitch gets booked for that

The last six Barca-Betis games have had 36 goals, so this is one is either destined for a 4-3 or a 0-0.

Brighton look awful today. Robert Sanchez in particular has been terrible.

Very amused that Portugal's ballon d'or ballot did not have either of Ronaldo or Bruno in their top 5. I know it's all pageantry, but still... can't even homecook that a little?

Ronald Araujo is going to be the best CB in the world for the next decade if he keeps up this exponential growth. Absolutely immense.

Dembele, when healthy, truly is some majestic player. Entirely changed the game when he was subbed on for Coutinho. Supposedly Spurs are in with a huge offer for him since his contract is up at the end of the season.

Dest is quietly having an immense defensive performance (*knocks on wood*) and almost just got an assist. Working with Xavi and Dani Alves already showing huge strides.

  25. Wow that first touch from Salah was nice
