It's been almost 3 months :( I think it was initially supposed to be just 6 weeks.

Yeah it’s been brutal. One of my favorite players, I feel bad that it’s been so long. Hope he gets healthy and balls out

I feel bad for Dortmund. Haaland out, Reyna out, sancho gone, Bellingham now potentially hurt. All the young talent that makes them such an interesting squad having a tough season.

And it goes w/o saying that not seeing Reus play with all of them is a bit unfortunate too. The first 3 matches were so much fun to watch.

Did England celebrate the 9-0 like they just won the World Cup? Earnest question because I haven't watched the game...

Haaland was already playing (and scoring) in the last match.

But anyway, is your trip to Munich still on in December? And if so, are you aware of the current covid situation in Germany and especially in Bavaria?

Football matches are currently at 25% max capacity in Bavaria and will most likely be without spectators starting in the coming days. Christmas markets are also canceled and clubs and bars are closed. Restaurants can only open until 22:00. So not really a perfect environment for a holiday. Sorry for potentially ruining your day.

If it's any consolation, Berlin still allows spectators and christmas markets are also still happening.

So you could potentially visit the "Big City Club" Hertha that has just announced a new coach with Tayfun Korkut, that no one, and I really mean absolutely no one thinks is capable of improving their level. They definitely are the new HSV.

It's funny when you compare Hertha and Union. One of them has loads of money (at least for German standards) and does fuck all with it. And the other one is on a tight budget but manages to stay strong in the Buli while at the same time does quite well in Europe.

Yeah, I was watching the game and saw him come in and rip a shot immediately in the first, like, 10 seconds. Then he had the awesome goal a few minutes later! I just meant that he's missed a lot of time this season and had been out for a while.

Unfortunately, we cancelled our trip last week. Got all of our money back, thankfully. I saw the report from today that the Bavarian prime minister is mentioning the potential for more ghost games soon. My wife and I figured that if we can't do the Christmas markets and likely can't go to a football game (and of course, the whole COVID thing...) it's not worth traveling right now. Plus, Austria shut down to tourists entirely, and that was the second part of our trip. If we are going to spend the money to take the trip, we want to be able to enjoy it the way we think we should, so we cancelled/postponed. I have a feeling that once I go to one game, I'll have an insatiable desire to go to more, and Berlin would offer a nice two-for-one opportunity.

This is now my third trip to Europe (I've never been) that I've had cancelled unexpectedly. The first two were both to Italy and once I had a stroke and the second was March right when COVID began. Now the Germany trip cancelled. The wife and I have a trip booked for Paris in March of next year - free place to stay because my cousin lives in Paris now - and we are hopeful that this will finally be the European trip to happen. Fingers crossed.

Thanks, thread, for accommodating my essay.

Fuck, that sounds bad. Hope you're alright. And I hope that one day you can just come here without any restrictions.
And also hope that Paris works out for you. It's a great city.

The part about Berlin was a little tongue-in-cheek but yeah, if you ever end up visiting, I'll buy you a beer or two.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Ciaran Clarke really is a useless heap of trash. 9 minutes in and decides that pulling the Pukki down as last man is a better option than hoping we manage to defend his attack. Absolute moron.

Him and Krafth seem to be having a competition to see who can be the shittest player in black and white.

Howe really needs to get the team looking capable before January, otherwise I don't see how we get out of this mess. Trouble is, other than Burnley this weekend, our December fixtures are absolutely horrendous. There's a very real chance we could get thrashed four times in a row.

Almost worryingly confident about the Merseyside derby tonight.

I don't see it going any other way than an easy Liverpool victory in all honesty.

Romero out until February it sounds like. Terrific.

  15. Players on both sides selling fouls so hard and this ref is falling for it every time.

He got the dives correct though.

Wanted us to finish it off before half time. Absolutely fantastic first 20. Everton really struggling to track Henderson. When it gets scrappy though it suits them.

I got to watch most of the second half of the brighton game during my lunch but I turned it off minutes before maupay's equalizer.
