Best case scenario is adding a break clause in the summer if they don’t fit lol. I’d love us to take a punt on Ten Hag, but it’s not worth wasting this season for him. We’re playing that badly. I still don’t think we will sack him though.

For some reason I thought Zidane and Ronaldo hated each other, but Google says that's not true.

I can’t say I know much about Zidane but to be perfectly honest his style of play and how he sets up his teams from my limited viewing doesn’t exact inspire confidence.

  5. Can United run a 352 with their current players?

Conte could run either a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 with United, but either way you'd be left with quite a few unhappy players. For example -

    De Gea
    Varane - Lindelof - Maguire
    AWB/Dalot - Fred - Pogba - Shaw/Telles
    Sancho - Ronaldo - Rashford

    Or

    De Gea
    Varane - Lindelof - Maguire
    AWB/ Dalot - Fred - Pogba - Shaw/Telles
    Bruno
    Ronaldo - Rashford?

Some of those positions are maybe off as I'm not 100% on what roles/ qualities Conte would require in each position, but as a guess. Seen a lot of people say Conte is actually more flexible than he first seems, and he did start with 4-3-3 at Chelsea, so remains to be seen what he'd actually do with us.

He doesn't really believe this does he? I can't believe the club has him this high up on their replacement list. Could be totally wrong.

    hmmm

That is absolutely something Brendan Rodgers would believe.

Ronaldo & Cavani up front together w/ Bruno behind them in the 352 would be lethal! I see AWB in the RCB role like Conte did for Azpilicueta too, both offer much more defensively that attacking but in that role they can still get forward to an extent.

And if anyone is wondering, no I have NOT given a great deal of thought over the past few days to possible formations under 3 possible managers of a team I don't even support. I have not been slacking off at my job and going on build lineup dot com.

Issue I see with that is we still have no midfield. We would need one of the CB's or wing backs to step up to help out with the numbers.

I would simply set one of the CBs (Maguire) instructions to 'Centre back (stopper)' allowing them to step up, with another (Varane) set to 'Centre back (cover)' to add balance. The remaining CB (Wan-Bissaka) would be given the new role 'Wide centre-back (support)' which would allow him also to step up when necessary to assist Fred (set to Ball-Winning Midfielder (defend)) and Pogba (DLP (support)). Team instructions High Defensive Line and 'use offside trap'.

These FM jokes landing, or no?

lmao rumours coming out now that PSG are unhappy with Poch. What interesting timing.

    hmmm

I'd be very excited about Conte if I was a United fan. If you want to win the league again in the next two or three years, he's about as good as anyone around for that.

Yeah, I'm going to be really bummed when Conte goes to United after we didn't get the deal done with him

If Poch leaves PSG I'd be shocked if he didn't end up back at Tottenham. Nuno always seemed like a stopgap in case he was willing to come back or someone else came back up.

  20. Nuno will be sacked 5 seconds after Poch is available

There’s rumours that Carrick and McKenna trained our team last week to play a 3-5-2 and Solskjaer decided on Saturday to go with the 4-2-4 lol.

This is so good. “Box to box striker”. Can’t fucking believe Ole did that.
