Ajax is well trained in possession. All talk leading up to this match had to do with our counter attack but theirs has featured much more prominently. Even on our best day we would struggle against their fluidity. They all know their roles and how to move into and out of different roles seamlessly. We are too static in attack, however. Everyone's roles are too rigidly defined. We also do not have the same pacey, technical ability as they. They are moving the ball around better than some of the best PL clubs. That doesn't happen with just shit defending alone.

 

I know I've asked before, but genuinely wtf is up with Dortmund and their defence. So odd that they've been bad-to-horrendous defensively for at least a decade at this point. I know teams go through stages and phases, but you'd have thought they'd have sorted it at some point for some amount of time
