    hmmm

The funny thing is Solksjaer does occasionally show some skill in setting up a team to exploit the opposition on the counter attack. I wouldn't be surprised if he got some good results in that run.

Yeah, but given how we’ve played so far this season, even our counter attacking is struggling. I don’t see great results against Leicester (missing from the above list) or Atalanta. Which are the “biggest” games in terms of needing a win at this moment in time. If we drop points against both Atalanta and Leicester, we’re going into a game against Liverpool in horrid form and mentally shot after the last 7 games. Add in that Liverpool have been really good and play a style of football that we don’t really like to play against and that could be a bloodbath if we continue how we are.

If that goes how I think it will mentioned above, the rest of that run will be dire. Losing to Liverpool at home might turn the fans, and the players themselves don’t look very happy at the moment. So yeah, I think the whole run of games hinges on how we do against Leicester and Atalanta.

Hope the team does well and we’re still playing for trophies. Or just completely play like shit so we can finally move on to the next manager. I don’t even know who we could bring in next year to take over. It’s insane a club as big as Manchester United basically haven’t found their successor to Ferguson 9 years ago

Ole has done very well trimming fat out of the squad and the squad is in a muuuuch better place since he took over, which imo is the most damning thing about the fact he can't get us performing consistently. we've backed him a lot and he was free to mould the squad how he wanted. I think he'd actually be a great shout for a background role if he so wanted to.

To be fair, replacing Fergie was always going to be one of the biggest tasks to face a club in the modern history of the sport.

    Yeah, that’s what I expected.

  9. Spurs apparently have a clause in Nuno’s contract that he can be sacked without further compensation if we don’t finish top 6. Ballsy for Nuno to agree to that lol

The more that comes out, the more outrageous it is that Bartomeu had that much power/ineptitude.

Whenever I read about such takeovers like the Newcastle one now, I am just so glad that we don't have this shit here in Germany. I don't even know what I would do if I were in such a place. It's completely out of my realm when thinking about football clubs actually.
Also, it's these times when I remember how ours and the English football culture are already so much different. Usually I only see the many similarities (like the link to the community and all the flags on the fence that seem to be completely an English and German thing).

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Really not feeling good about the Newcastle takeover. What bothers me more than the takeover itself is that the supporter's trust recorded a 93% approval for it. I'm disgusted that more fans haven't at least questioned it. Like, how bad does the regime need to be for a majority of people to say enough is enough? Would we take North Korea over Mike Ashley?

It feels like the final cut by Ashley as well. He's damaged the club materially and financially starved it too, now he's going to crush its standing and reputation on his way out. The Premier League absolutely fucked it up when they blocked this deal in the stupid way they did. It really shouldn't have been hard for them to point out the club would be majority owned by war criminals and murderers. Instead they got into an argument about TV rights and botched their own processes.

It won’t make a difference. They set a precedent with Chelsea and City.

Not that I don't think this Newcastle deal is horrific, but a sub-set of Barca fans have begun campaigns for their new owners to buy Umtiti, Coutinho, and others and it's a little bit funny. Just a smidge.

  25. Kane to Newcastle?
