Please don't remind me. He can't set up a team to capably attack and defend. Only one or the other. Both last season and this, we failed to win in our opening 7 matches. Last year, we couldn't score for toffee. This year, we're scoring pretty well (most goals of any team in the lower half), but we're defending appallingly. It feels like the bulk of the goals scored against us are just from absolutely terrible defending. Forwards must be baffled when it's suddenly so easy.

It's not like he has to a gel a new team together, we don't fucking sign anyone!

I've genuinely not heard Salah's name mentioned once so I'm going to put a cheeky bet on him scoring the winner.

 

City are blocking off Fabinho and closing the channels and we don't know how to react in possession. Matip's taken the ball into midfield a couple of times and that's a way to get free but other than that, without Trent's quality and with no target up front, we're struggling to get out. Firmino on at some point soon to give us a target to play off and drop onto Rodri who has a lot of space.

That's the other thing, we need to mark and press Rodri because he has too much space and they can switch it through him into space either side. We can't stay tight to Foden or Jesus when the ball is in the middle.

Henderson's beenreally poor. Rare I agree with Gary Neville these days but he's right when he says that we've been too one-dimensional and not brave enough so far.
