It's difficult because Green isnt quite as defensively adept as Acosta but he is much better going forward which is why I brought him up in comparison to what Berhalter was trying to do with Acosta during that first half last night. IMO, Green is Lleget-esque so I think he at least deserves a look at some point during WCQ.

 

We originally were going to try and get tickets for that but decided to go for a more sure thing so we can at least go to a game haha

 

Totally agree. Paired with injuries and being on an incredibly talented Bayern squad at the time, it was always going to be difficult for him to break through and shine. I think another solid couple of months and he deserves a call up midway through the window.

We got tickets last time through AO, right? I feel like we used Mark and Jared’s memberships. I would get an AO membership again to get tickets, tbh, if it was feasible to attend.

I’m definitely against the every two year World Cup… but if FIFA does shove it down our throats as seems likely, it should be like the Europa League. The teams that didn’t qualify for the main event get to have their own. So like the losers of the intercontinental playoffs, the African and European playoffs, etc. you’d have one or two underperforming marquee teams, only one qualification cycle, and get to protect the continental tournaments.

Nuno’s hand was kinda forced with how many guys we’re missing….but this lineup isn’t going to get a point. Would really like to see Gil and Ndombele come on at half or very soon after.

 

Spurs very narrow and deep. Kane's playing higher up than he did last season but the midfield is so deep, the full backs are isolated and Moura's dribbling is the only thing getting Spurs up the pitch. Very little pressing.

 

Ref not calling the foul when Lucas had his heel scraped by the defender lead to the Zaha/Tanganga tussle giving Tanganga a yellow. Then the ref calls a foul and super soft second yellow to send Tanganga off. Wonderful.

 

Seriously, how the fuck was the worthy of a yellow??
