Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

Absolutely going to have to remove Bruno Fernandes as my captain in fpl now he isn't going to be taking penalties...

He'll probably still be on them v Wolves.

@SamLevi11 How good is Ainsley Maitland-Niles? We allegedly want him on loan, I presume for him to cover for Coleman at LB.

I feel like Coleman has been playing footy for 746 years.

Ronaldo went to a Juventus that was supposedly built to win him another Champion’s League filled with veterans who won Serie A by default and made two UCL finals in the past few years, and adding one of the best players of all time they didn’t even get close. Sure this past season was their worst in awhile, but Juventus have the center back pairing that won the Euros, Dybala, Chiesa, de Ligt, McKennie, Danilo, Kulusevski, and a few other good players. I’m really comparing this current United with Ronaldo to the Juventus team he joined and why he joined them, not where it is as of now. Ronaldo and Juve also had the issue of a different manager each season he was there.
Not saying this United team won’t be their best in a long time, but I also don’t see them being the world beaters that I imagine would be the only thing Cristiano would settle for ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And a pretty nice bench. That team can win any trophy out there.

As we’re coming to the close of the window, how does everyone feel about their clubs transfer activity and what business do you think needs to be done before the window closes?

Ours has been great, got two first choice targets in and Ronaldo back. Not 100% sure Ronaldo fits the team, but I think he could have an RVP style impact. Still desperately need a midfielder though. We have a lot of bodies but are light in that position. Most of all we need a couple of sales. Lingard, Dalot among others.

I mean, my team lost the greatest player of all time so it personally sucked.

(Memphis is fantastic, against all my reservations.)

The players we have signed already have made direct contributions (Gray v Leeds and Townsend v Southampton and Huddersfield) so I can't complain too much about them but every man and his dog knows we've got a regressing Coleman to replace and as of yet nothing has been done to address it. I know we lost out on Dumfries but the point still stands. If Kean leaves we'll need a new CF. We've been linked to Rondon who doesn't exactly get the champagne popping but then again neither did Gray or Townsend. The signing of Luis Diaz would be great, even if a new winger isn't of the most importance. In summary, we've still got business to do before I'm satisfied but at least the links are there.

decent player. He played an entire season at right back and was pretty good considering he was so young. But then he started saying he wanted to be a midfielder. He’s since gone back on that and said he would play wherever but just prefers midfield, but it’s an example of how his attitude has constantly been the thing under question. His mum is actually banned from our training centre for various reasons too.

He has huge potential but i always suspected he would never realise it at Arsenal.

I was trying to respond with a picture of the 18-19 Juve squad and the current United squad but couldn’t get it cropped on mobile. I appreciate the point you’re trying to make contextually, I just think you’re off the mark. United’s squad right now has been assembled with the clear goal and expectation to challenge on all fronts. This was not the case last year. The squad was too thin and lacking in firepower to make a significant push for any trophy. Your make more sense in regards to last year’s team.

That Arsenal back 5 is painful to look at even as a non-fan

We have so many players out, with covid or still returning to fitness. It’s crazy.

Pepe and White are huge misses for us.

It's a pity City don't have a world class forward to absolutely ruin it.

He’s currently negotiating to join his best mate Mesut at Fenerbahce, but we dont have enough players left to not play him. We even have TWO keepers on the bench.

Yeah that happened us a couple of times last year. Who’s going to be playing in midfield for ye? Odegaard and Smith-Rowe as 8’s?

Spurs window has been pretty good. Finally moving pieces out after so long was much needed. Been more signings for the future than immediate help so far, with Pape Sarr and Gil. I’m excited about the potential of those two. Romero is also a really good signing, but I’m getting nervous about his nagging knee issue he seems to have.

Would like maybe one more defender and a striker to close up the window. I know Nuno wants to use 2 strikers up front at times, so hopefully we can get a deal done.
