So I missed all the awesome football today but it's great to see Ireland (and all the home nations) got through. There's some proper tasty matches coming up in the knockouts then.

The Bad Religion/Offsping gig was incredible. I've not been in a pit of a venue that size that's kicked off so much in ages. The whole of the downstairs at Hammersmith Apollo was going for it, I do feel pretty broken now though.

I really hope we can win the 3rd place game at least. I'd much rather medal than not.

Definitely the correct final. I think Argentina will win it, but I'd love it to be Chile again.

Just seen that Ipswich's 4th game of the season is home to Norwich. Easy 0 points there.

  13. You guys read about the Swedish soccer player who received his 2nd yellow of a match for farting?

The ref said it was "deliberate provocation".

    Que dice usted?

Apparently Liverpool and Burnley have switched away and home games since Anfield is having work done. We won't play at Anfield until September 10.

Scotland, about what I said the other day... If I sleep on your sofa, I'll put the bins out myself and maybe do the washing up...

Is there a positive to take that the Premier League might crash causing Sky to go broke and Murdoch to lose all power?

Even after all the Premier League teams go bust and are removed from the league system, Ipswich still fail to get promoted.

So the 100+ EU member nation players that will have to get new work visas should make the next few years fun in the EPL.

  22. Can someone give me a brief explanation of why UK wants to leave the EU? I honestly know very little about the situation. I don't want to create a political discussion, just a brief rundown of the reasoning.
