Wondering when NIR are gonna actually mount an attack.

 

This is why this 3rd team thing is so shite, a team there happy there to sit on a 1-0 loss as that might be enough to get them through.

 

What a weird game that was. We were absolutely dominating, I think NI didnt have a single chance. But we should have scored at least 5-6 goals. I hope this gets better in the knock-out-stage, because against better opponents we won't get as many chances and we need to convert everything we get.

24 teams in the tournament is just too much. 16 was perfect, we had exciting group matches and even the better teams needed to deliver right from the start. Now almost every team still has a chance to advance in the last match, no matter how shit they were before. I hope they eventually go back to the old format, but I dont think that will happen soon.

 

Croatian hooligans are planning to storm the pitch and attack the referee today...

 

Sure if you go back to the old format things might improve footballistically speaking. However, banteristically speaking this has been the best euros to date. What's more important the banter or the football?

Doesn't make a difference, the game would have been no different if only the top two went through. Smaller nations are surprisingly shite, especially Northern Ireland who have fuck all infrastructure. Probably the worst side in the tournament when it comes to that.

 

This Czech / Turkey match is brilliant. Would have been a dead rubber if the third team didn't get through. Swings and roundabouts.
