He really needs to be subbed at halftime, he's so off his game.

Going through liking all the Wilshere slagging. He's been dreadful.

England are playing like they think they're Spain.

After a decade of watching him play and a few years of watching him commentate, I'm just now making the connection that Ballack looks like Matt Damon.

All the Wales goals have come from horrendous defending on Russia's part. Also fuck Russia.

Absolutely disgraceful stuff from England. Hodgson has got to go, he has mismanaged this group appallingly.

It reminds me of Lancaster and the England rugby team. Poor manager holding back a group of talented youngsters. Wonder if Eddie Jones wants to manage both teams.

ITV commentator "England will feel that they've had the lion's share of all 3 games"... well yes because the teams we played against have set up defensively and allowed to hold possession, and they almost all got a draw from it. Pathetic, slow, awful performance. We'll be out on penalties in the next round.

While obviously the onus is on England to break through, if this tournament didn't have that stupid 3 teams get through rule, Slovakia would never have played so negatively.

The group stage in this euros has been the least memorable in years. Too many teams content with 1 point in every game.

It's not as if England haven't had experience of having to break teams down that setup to defend, every team in qualifying bar Switzerland did that. Just a frustrating, boring match. Referee didn't help either thought he was overzealous with his whistle. Also echo Wilshire comments but also add Henderson as he was just as bad. Oh well it'll be out to Portugal next round, sounds familiar

    Wilshere was awful
    Ramsey was actually tremendous
Allen and Bale have been the best players of this group

Literally couldn't agree more, UEFA fucking up a straightforward exciting tournament for a bit more tv money. Don't remember a tournament with so many teams playing for a draw

Portugal is the better narrative for the media, but y'all have the better percentage of chance to be facing Hungary next round.

So it looks like I'll probably seeing USA vs. either Colombia or Chile in the 3rd place game next Saturday!

Either that or Argentina, so freaking hyped. It's gonna be balls hot in AZ, but at least the game is at Cardinal's stadium... Climate controlled. HYPED!!!!

First International team match. Closest I'll probably get to seeing a World Cup esq game for now.

Don't really think bias comes into this statement, but the Copa has blown the Euros out of the water as far as entertainment comes, even in the dead rubber games of the third round of group play.

As far as neutral fans go, we're nearly at the end of the group stage and there hasn't been a classic or particularly memorable match yet. There's been some good individual moments, but no great games. A lot of the games have essentially been attack vs defense, and the nearest we've come to a really even contest would be probably Wales - Slovakia, or Hungary - Iceland. Maybe the last 15 minutes of Croatia - Czech. None of which are exactly going to go down in the annals of time.

Hopefully things will liven up in the knock out rounds, though I'm worried they'll be a similarly cagey affair, like the World Cup was.

I'm venting now, but when you see how dogshite Russia were, it's such a joke that we couldn't beat them.

This Copa is one of the best tournaments to ever take place based on nothing more than 7-0

I was at a Mexican restaurant last night and Dad stopped me from making a reference so they wouldn't spit in our food.
