just finished my first listen. chill even by their standards, but I'm not complaining.

 

Yeah, a little bit of a change up here for them. Sounds really… sunny. Still very MIT though. Kept thinking I was listening to Tree Among Shrubs during The Landkeeper lol. Really curious what the sibling album will sound like now

 

"billie toppy" is among their most transcendent songs and I would love to hear some more songs like that sprinkled in there

kind of odd amidst the flood of new material that "girl" is here again but the updated arrangement is gorgeous and tindersticksian

 

There's a whole second album coming, people are thinking this is the more "chill" one of the two

 

Listening now, definitely chilled. Still very good, though.

Yeah, this new one is great. Enjoyed the last one, but this one is definitely better.

 

Gotta say how much I appreciate that all their digital releases are still PWYC.

 

The first one has definitely grown on me. Like many, It wasn't what I was expecting/hoping for so it didn't hit straight away. But it's definitely got better over time.

 

Yeah I need to go back to that one. Ended up getting the LP I wanted with the second one, so maybe I’d be more sympathetic towards the first now
