Annihilation, Ex Machina, and Devs are three of my favorite pieces of recent media. I’m excited for this. Although i wish he’d made his movie about political violence lol
Just watched that trailer with headphones on before going to sleep and now I'm not going to sleep. Shit looks scaaary
They played the trailer for this before my screening of X that I just got out of. I fucking love Ex Machina and Annihilation. I hadn’t heard of this at all. Glad it’s only a couple months away.
Yeah the trailer got me hyped all over again. This, Nope, the Nic Cage movie, Everything Everywhere...lots of good stuff coming out soon
Yea I got all those too. Thank god for regal unlimited so I don’t have to worry about buying so many tickets.
Holy shit. Looks incredible. Was it announced before this that Rory Kinnear was playing multiple roles because that took me by surprise, though I’m all for it.
Wow this looks terrifying. Despite not being a "horror" filmmaker per se, Garland has created some of the most unsettling moments of the past decade in his work. The obvious scenes in Annihilation, but there were also a few images/scenes in Devs that creeped me out more than anything I watched that year. Also Devs is fucking tremendous, I need to rewatch that. The story is flawed and the revelations we get are nowhere near as satisfying as the mysteries they solve, but I thought that was a genuine masterpiece of dread and suspense.
Yeah, going to do my best to avoid watching this trailer, but I'm sure I'll inevitably see it attached to something in theaters between now and release.
Yeah there really is no way to avoid trailers if you go to the theatres so I if it plays there so be it
