A tad, yeah. I can kinda see that. Still would take a bit more for her to be on Meg's level for me though haha
At the very least going to the Syracuse show on July 12th, but hopefully the Buffalo show on the 14th as well Meg Myers and Silversun Pickups is too good a lineup to pass up.
Was fortunate enough to attend an invite-only acoustic set at a small guitar shop in Syracuse tonight, and she was nice enough to sign my lyric book for me after
Running Up That Hill video out on Thursday, in which she collaborated with underprivileged elementary school students in LA, who helped color flipbook pages that were used as frames in the animations for the video.
Meg Myers partners with non-profit, Heart of LA to create animated video for “Running Up That Hill” - Vents Magazine
Saw Meg (with Silversun Pickups) at two radio station festivals over the weekend in Syracuse and Buffalo. Her drummer Jared Shavelson (who is also a member of BoySetsFire) is currently on tour drumming for Seal (yes, that Seal haha), so each show was just her and guitarist Josh Rheault playing a stripped backed set, which really lets her voice shine.
She had Jarrod Alexander on drums tonight in Philadelphia, formerly of Death By Stereo, The Hope Conspiracy, My Chemical Romance, and A Static Lullaby, and he was most recently with Matt Skiba and the Sekrets.
Meg tested out a brand new song, "Teenagers," live today at the Alt 92.1 Radio Theater in Scranton, PA. Hope we get a release date announcement on her upcoming EP soon
