Saw her at the Mercury Lounge in NYC last night and met her after the show! Judging from the new songs she played last night I think this album will blow Sorry away
Finally got all the video My sister's fiance and I took at the show Monday night uploaded to youtube The setlist from the show 1. Done 2. Sorry 3. Jealous Sea 4. Motel 5. Take Me to the Disco 6. Tourniquet 7. Monster 8. Tear Me to Pieces 9. Make a Shadow 10. Some People 11. I'm Not Sorry 12. Desire 13. Numb
Song is available on youtube. Should be hitting streaming sites and itunes, amazon music, etc. at midnight
Fair enough haha Personally I think they are all better than most of the debut and stack up well with the best songs on the EPs.
For sure. Now that she's back on an independant label I feel she has more control over her sound, and is doing what she wants to do. You can tell from the lyrics of Numb that being on a major label was frustrating for her. She sounds more confident with her sound now. I just wish she was more well known and appreciated because she deserves it.
I’m ready for this new album. I definitely feel like she’s an under appreciated talent in music right now.
Interview with Meg from Pass the Aux INTERVIEW: Meg Myers in a good place nearing new album's release - Pass The Aux
Even if these four songs were released in the form of an EP it would already be better than Sorry and maybe even the first two EPs. This shaping up to blow the debut album away.
Just noticed one of the videos I took at her show in NYC last month and had uploaded to youtube was used in this article haha
Pre-ordered purely on the strength of Numb and haven't regretted it at all with each new track. Bummed she isn't playing HHH live anymore tho
Yeah I really wanted to see her perform that and Adelaide, as well as maybe Go and Lemon Eyes, but the new songs are that good that they totally made up for that. Especially Some People and Tear Me To Pieces, which haven't been released yet. Those are the two I'm most looking forward to hearing the album versions of when I get my pre-order download pass on Thursday or my autographed vinyl arrives (although I haven't gotten any info on whether it's shipped yet or not).
*drip drip* Haven't gotten a chance to listen yet though. Still waiting on most of my pre-order items to ship. The postcard has but the signed vinyl/lyric book/t-shirt bundle and hoodie have not.
This album, while not as diverse as her debut, has a much stronger and mature collection of songs. Really digging it.
Wait, have you got your download or did your CD come in the mail? 'cause neither have happened for me yet.
