This band is fine, but the astroturfing they get is unbelievable. It’s just weird to read all of the articles about how they’re going to “save pop punk” when Travis Barker already did single-handedly last year lol
My sister just graduated from some medical program and I got her tickets to see Machine Gun Kelly and that dude named Jaden with the dumbest stagename... Anyway, it was so bad...they're all just cosplaying old Blink stuff and you can one hundred percent tell it's all Travis' coaching. Jaden's drummer was even a Walmart version of Travis...same mannerisms and style. Then I busted out laughing during some song that was Stay Together For The Kids with different lyrics. Like they're not even trying... And speaking of not trying..MGK's guitar playing. Eff me I'm just getting old but this is all just too transparent and corny to even try to take seriously.
I like that those artists are helping bring pop punk back into the limelight, but the lack of musicianship and originality is def an insult to all the bands in the genre who are actually good (like MM@TA)
Again, it's probably virtue of my age, but damn I can't get into this band at all. Sounds too produced. And every picture I see of them looks like a clickbaity shocked face YouTube thumbnail that would be captioned something like, "She let her do WHAT?!".
this song is decently fun, but I feel the same way overall. they aren't super special to me. I do love the diversity aspect, but their music is just kind of generic to me. there are plenty of other new artists that I think are doing better things.
