Also, the Drake collab is hot. But I’ve always loved their stuff together. Amen and RICO are 2 of my favorite Meek tracks.
I don't know if people paid attention to his Legends of the Summer EP from this year, but its worth going back to, especially for this song.
I didn't listen to all of this, but the Drake song was the least interesting of the ones I heard. Intro is great, Cardi song is a banger and What's Free rules (outside of the slur)
Not shots but a Drake and Meek tape is a terrible idea. It’s good that the beef is over, but’s let leave it at the occasional collabo. They are too different. Meek’s a real ass real rapper and Drake is, well, fucking Drake, the guy with ghostwriters who think’s its all a fun acting job, but at the same time dares to question the authenticiy of someone like Pusha T.
Counterpoint: every Drake and Meek song is great and a collab mixtape doesn't need to be a groundbreaking piece of work... it can just be enjoyable music.
I mean, I guess, but Meek also makes a lot of songs that are better than those songs, so you have to think of the opportunity cost
Also sorry if I was too intense but Drake gets under my fucking skin lmao especially when he appears in the same context as someone like Meek
Just started listening. On Me is a straight banger. Finished Whats Free now. Rick Ross saying f***** obviously leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but Jay's verse on that song is wild.
