It's not hyperbole when I say, "I have never been more excited for an album before"
I mean..I think after hearing My Other Band, I listened to those 3 Thiessen tracks over and over and over. 12 years is quite a bit to wait for a full album

 

Stoked for this. That guitar lick in the clip above is tasty, too.

 

So excited, those live clips sound great.

 

I loved listening to My Other Band along with The Revolution Will Begin in the Blink of an Eye albums back in the day. I need to listen to those Matt T tracks again, especially Poison Ivy.

Very excited for new music from Matt

 

I check to see if he’s released a song every Friday. Haha. Hope we hear something soon.

This compilation from back in the day with 4 Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes songs that hasn’t been on Apple Music / Spotify is now up. Good stuff.

 

I just realized it says the pre-order comes with an instant download of "Man Of Stone"

 

Alright so I’ve done a really bad job keeping up with Matt’s solo stuff. I heard the fours songs on the compilation and wow I’m loving this. The harmonies on Warmth Of The Sun were so good. What other songs besides these am I missing?

 

I feel like there was a missed opportunity for some proper hype/announcement.

Like, have the song on all platforms, post the pre-order bundles/album art, talk up that the legendary Darren King produced and played drums, have a release date, etc.

It’s just kind of out there. Ish.

All that said, I’m thrilled this is finally happening and love the song. Just hope this does well for him.

 

I’m not surprised - it seems exactly like a Matthew Thiessen thing to do post-FANSD. He doesn’t seem to overhype much these days and tends to keep a low profile. As soon as we heard the album I kind of expected this kind of rollout. I’m actually surprised we’ve even got pre-orders and a definitive release date in some ways!

 

Haha I said a very similar thing to my buddy today. In the vein of “it’s frustrating but also kind of charming in a Matt Thiessen kind of way” lol
