He mentioned that he recorded this album intermittently, which I think is pretty clear - it sounds more like a collection of songs than a cohesive album - Boston Accent definitely had the latter feel. I do miss the occasional uptempo song from him, which we really haven't seen since Sings His Sad Heart.
I forgot to update after my post this summer. After Matt chatted with me in his discord, he and his team sent me (and my husband) not only the VIP swag, but "Wherever you go there you are" hats, water bottles, and his setlist from the show we had to miss. This man will get all of my money for the rest of my life, lol.
Some damn good covers on there. The Longest Time made me cry, but I'm an emotional wreck these days. Super solid EP
I heard Matt do a guest DJ spot on Pop Rocks on SiriusXM last night. He played a couple tracks off the EP and they sounded great.
