we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Was looking for their thread, but couldn't find one. So if one already exists, feel free to delete this one.

Anyhow, with Voices finally coming to vinyl for the first time ever, I've been on a huge Matchbook Romance kick these last few days.

I wanted to mention the b-side "In Transit (For You)" that was released on the Masters of Horror soundtrack. It's a great track if you haven't heard it.

Voices is an incredible record and easily their magnum opus.

Aside from a few tracks, I never really got into Stories & Alibis even back in the day. It’s always gonna be Voices for me.

this girl who was obsessed with them during that era that i knew said the 3 year gap hurt the album, plus it was a decently big departure from stories and it eventually caused tensions within the band and then they broke up, that's what she told me, but that might be common knowledge now. i prefer stories over voices but i was really into it when i was 14/15 so its nostalgic for me nowadays. i can still listen to it though! i got into them cause of this comp! shout out to mark & tom!

Yup. Literally two track, "Your Stories, My Alibis," and "Playing For Keeps".

Voices is on a completely different level and a record I still listen to consistently.

Yup and yup! Those are the only two tracks I like as well whereas Voices has no skips for me.
