Rumors out there that Brent was killed in a motorcycle accident last night. Sincerely hoping that it's bullshit.

EDIT: I removed part of my post insinuating his reckless driving had something to do with this, but I deleted it because I think it was in poor taste. Sorry about that.

 

seems to be confirmed now. Multiple musicians are starting to post it.

 

I really hate to hear that and hate that it went down the way it has between him and Mastodon. RIP.

Goddamnit, this sucks. I was truly hoping things could turn around for him. Feel so bad for the rest of the guys. Seems they're constantly plagued by loss.

RIP to Brent. Dude had his demons, but didn't deserve to go out like this. He was a part of one of my favorite albums of all time and will be remembered as such.
