The Volume has wreaked too much havoc on our television sets. The combat scenes were engaging but the story leaves a lot to be desired. Decent enough so far but definitely disappointing compared to what came before.
Like, they couldn't have just taken the crew out into the Arizona or Nevada deserts, and maybe a real B-17 or two, and then digitally insert the other planes into the scenes? Wait for late afternoon light, and boom, you got your Algeria scene.
I am still trying to enjoy it for what it is and because I like the history, but yeah some stuff is tough to get through. Mainly the effects and the color grading.
I think Tokyo Vice and Halo shows take precedence tonight, but I'll watch episode 4 of this tomorrow for sure
If you were wondering how did they know Bob was a Nazi spy ? he said "just so proudly we hailed" instead of "what so proudly we hailed" when reciting the national anthem, and he wrote the date in the European d/m/y format instead of the American m/d/y format.
After next the episode there will a significant pivot in setting/tone that I think will further polarize people.

That is the most common theory. Either that or MI6/MI5. Unfortunately I don't think we're going to find out because it's mentioned in the book that Crosby never finds out what she actually does.
