Based on the trailer this is was next week's episodes I think is going to focus on. which is is rad.

 

Annndddd I just learned they used the Volume for this series - ofc they did, ughhh

 

yeah not gonna bother going on with this, disappointing

 

Also didn't realize the first four episodes are directed by a groomer

 

The Volume has wreaked too much havoc on our television sets.

The combat scenes were engaging but the story leaves a lot to be desired. Decent enough so far but definitely disappointing compared to what came before.

 

Like, they couldn't have just taken the crew out into the Arizona or Nevada deserts, and maybe a real B-17 or two, and then digitally insert the other planes into the scenes? Wait for late afternoon light, and boom, you got your Algeria scene.

 

I am still trying to enjoy it for what it is and because I like the history, but yeah some stuff is tough to get through. Mainly the effects and the color grading.

 

Yeah it’s not great but I’ll finish it out

 

I am still hoping that when this season makes it pivot that it'll get better.

 

I actually never knew about the Red Cross Doughnut truck girls

 

I think Tokyo Vice and Halo shows take precedence tonight, but I'll watch episode 4 of this tomorrow for sure

he said "just so proudly we hailed" instead of "what so proudly we hailed" when reciting the national anthem, and he wrote the date in the European d/m/y format instead of the American m/d/y format.

 

Still waiting for this show to get good… maybe it’s a second half season series.

 

After next the episode there will a significant pivot in setting/tone that I think will further polarize people.

This episode is kinda giving me The Pacific 1x3 Melbourne vibes.

 

Oh my god that gorgeous cover of Guthrie had me almost in tears. All time WW2 bop.

 

Also now that we're at the Stalag Luft III part, I need to go watch The Great Escape

 

I wonder if the roommate woman in Oxford is actually working at Bletchley Park, hence why she doesn’t say to the guy what she does

 

That is the most common theory. Either that or MI6/MI5. Unfortunately I don't think we're going to find out because it's mentioned in the book that Crosby never finds out what she actually does.

 

I thought that cover was not good personally.
