Masters Of Sex (Showtime) TV Show

Season 4 premieres September 11th.

 

I'm only 2 episodes into season 1. I like it so far.

 

It just gets better with each season. Are you watching Ray Donovan also?

 

I watched the first episode of it last year, but I'm going to try to watch the rest of it this summer at some point. Showtime is pretty good with original programming.

 

I can't remember if I even finished last season but it wasn't very good.

 

yeah, last season was pretty bad. used to be one of my favorite shows, got to the point where i probably won't finish this if it remains being mediocre
and i looooove lizzy caplan

 

Just finished the series. Have been putting off actually watching S4, because yaknow the dip in quality...

I realllly hate to type this, because I love Lizzy Caplan in general.... but she was honestly a terrible choice for this role. The writing for her has plenty that can be critized, but 4 years later and I still don't buy her as Virginia at all. She's borderline distracting much of the series.

Being beside Michael Sheen and Caitlin Fitzegerald, who were perfect, probably didn't help either.

 

I still need to watch the last season. I actually thought Lizzy Caplan did a fine job for the first few seasons.

 

The silly 10 year time jump probably compounded it too.

 

So you watched the new season? How did it compare to the last few?

 

I kinda hated the first third of it. Then its gets a bit more fun/engaging towards the end. Unfortunately, it seems as though the finale was written before they knew they were getting cancelled, so some stuff is left unresolved.

 

yeah, i have pretty much no interest in watching season 4. shame, first two seasons (especially season 1) were some really compelling television
