I enjoyed the series overall. Captain Carter was by far my favorite and I’m excited that they’re hinting at more of her. My biggest thing was it felt like they tried to tie it all up into a nice bow too much where every episode was relevant to the final story…even the delayed Gamora one.
This is fair. I enjoyed the show for what it was but it also wasn't as enjoyable as a full-blown production, nor did I really expect it to be. I think it did present some interesting and entertaining ideas, and there were particular episodes like the Dr. Strange episode and the T'Challa episode that resonated with me. That being said, I absolutely agree with the previously offered opinion that the show would've benefitted from a longer runtime per episode, to better flesh out the characters and worlds explored. On the other hand, I'm assuming since they didn't even finish the 10th episode for this season on time, it would've been even worse if they had to deal with twice as much animation.
Finally decided to check it out. 4 episodes down and enjoy it overall. Nothing amazing but enjoyable for what it is.
It's a show that I'll watch to keep up with the MCU (in case the characters are used in other projects) but I don't see myself rewatching it.
Last two episodes were great. Watching them back to back was a good idea. I was so confused by Gamora and thought I’d had a memory blank. Glad to see it’s not me and I actually hadn’t seen her before!
Apparently there’s a lost episode that was cut due to covid. It was the Gamora one and it’s what happens if Tony Stark doesn’t go back through the wormhole in The Avengers and ends up in Sakaar.
As I understand it, the episode was written and recorded but the studio thry outsourced the animation to had to close for COVID reasons so the episode was moved to season 2.
I don’t want to crap on anyone’s enjoyment but I just finished this and fuck this is one of the worst pieces of shit I’ve ever watched fully. Just a total miss
I was going to write a whole post bringing up the idea of people throwing negative opinions in positive conversations like a smoke bomb in a crowded room, but I deleted it all because it's not really worth the discussion. Instead, I want to mention that I've always known the word segue and known the pronunciation "seg-way", and just now figured out that the two were one and the same. I feel like a total fool. Incidentally, I know it sounds like I said I didn't want to bring up the topic above but did it anyway, but what I was really doing is not letting a good analogy go to waste. It was so good!
