So based on the official creation of the multiverse, where would everyone place this in a chronological rewatch? I would almost place the majority of this season (along with the first season) right after Endgame if I was doing things chronologically. I would think the things this series absolutely has to be placed before is anything that deals with multiversal shenanigans. But with Mobius's comment near the end about the Kang variant that gave the 616 some trouble, I almost feel like that portion should technically take place right after Quantumania. Also, if leaks for other projects are to be believed, Deadpool 3 should potentially take place before this series as a whole, since the TVA and Mobius are allegedly coming after him in that.
I thought the finale ended the best way it could have. Brought everything from the first episode to conclusion. Interested to see where Loki goes from here as a character. With the TVA appearing in Deadpool I'm assuming Loki will have to appear in some capacity
This was pretty good. The sequences of Loki going back and forth a billion times to different points to figure things out was fun, loved the visuals of all the timelines resembling Yggdrasil at the end. Pretty bummed that Sylvie felt like a bit of an afterthought this season. Kang continues to underwhelm me overall. Majors was good in this but I assumed we'd see more of him and get some idea of where his character will go from here. Would've liked to have seen more variants than just Timely and He Who Remains.
Honestly, I think this gives the MCU the perfect opportunity to just move on from Kang. Loki has made him unnecessary. They can just say each universe took care of their Kang and just do something else.
I think that's such a waste of a good character. It's really simple to just recast the role and be done with it.
That’s also an option. Which they could do at anytime down the road if they want to. Hopefully during this slowed down over the next year and a half or so (with only Deadpool coming out), they will refocus on making stronger stories, whether that’s with Kang or not. I think Loki ends it in the best way as to give them options in either direction. I think they should pivot away from Kang. Maybe revisit later with a recast. Having a Kang be planning and scheming in the background for awhile would work with what we know of him. Regardless, I am hoping they make some big changes in how they’re producing these moving forward. The push to make as much as possible has not worked for a lot of people or box office wise, overall.
I hate to say anything positive about that asshole now, but it’s annoying how charismatic Majors is as HWR. But I’m fully onboard with a recast. It would feel like a waste to just scrap it because he’s a piece of shit
I totally get the mixed reactions people have about Timely and Kang, but I just don’t see how he’s terrible as HWR. But that’s just me
Thought the finale was great and did a really good job of closing out this show in an epic way. My only complaint is that the Loki/Sylvie relationship was one of my favorite aspects of S1 and they kind of abandoned that in S2 to focus more on Loki.
Not as much as I would have expected. There is like one full episode dedicated to a variant of his, then otherwise just a few pretty small scenes in some other episodes
Does anyone know why victor timely says “pumpkins” after his successful return from the loom? Also. If I ever hear the word “gangway” again in my life, if will be too soon.
tbh I think the End of Time is at the TVA, just, you know, at the end of time. I good go either way on the purple glow being Alioth or a Kang.
