Imagine thinking they’re gonna build a mystery for a few weeks and then spoil it a week before all is revealed lol
Despite the ending, WandaVision's been the best of these 3, followed by Loki. Only WandaVision generated the kind of momentum to make it a weekly "event", all the collective speculation, etc. made it a really fun ride that I didn't expect from one of these shows
it really has not. f&ws was better in every aspect. it was made an "event" by things that were not at any point actually part of the show. f&ws > loki > wanda
It all depends on the finale for me on where I’ll rank Loki. I liked TFAWS more than WandaVision but the finale for TFAWS was also not that great.
Frankly, this is why I think it's important to have both shows like WandaVision and FATWS. I enjoyed the water cooler aspect of WandaVision; it reminded me of conversations I'd have back in the day about Lost or Game Of Thrones. Even if most of the speculation turned out to be nonsense, it was still fun to see things play out. However, that's also why watching FATWS next for me was such a relief. There were still "mysteries", but it was way more straightforward and typical vs. WandaVision, and it was nice to just sit back and watch a yarn play out rather than try to clue together what was actually happening at any given moment. Now we're back to the mystery with Loki, which is fun, but I'm looking forward to the next series being another break, whether it be Hawkeye or Ms. Marvel. My mind can only be screwed so much.
nothing has happened. three and a half of the episodes have been nearly entirely exposition and exposition written poorly.
Yeah, it really only picked up by the end of the fourth episode. Everything before was not only boring but also depressing, apart from Owen Wilson.
Wandavision was cool, but the internet ruined that for me with all the insane theories. If anything the thing that stuck with me the most was how well it tackled grief and loss. Still think “but what is grief if not love perserving” is the single best line to come from any Marvel project.
I’ve enjoyed all three. They’ve been high quality, interesting and engaging. Bring on the finale of this one!
Imo, the biggest flaws in WV was that it was too long, had way too much on it’s plate story-wise, it dragged shit out with the mystery elements, and the ending just kinda stunk on how it ended things. FATWS and Loki feel like the opposite and I’ve enjoyed them more than WV.
I loved WV aside from its finale, and it feels unfair of me to judge the entire series based on that one episode when they had to rush through an edit due to the pandemic
Imo, it just felt like whatever after the reveal of everything being Wanda’s creation. The mystery of why it was happening was the one big hook they had for the show and once it was out of the bag, the final battle and Wanda becoming the Scarlet Witch just didn’t live up to that moment.
I’ve been referring to her as the Scarlett witch since age of ultras so when that happened i was like “is this new?”
I can see why someone might have been confused since even though no one ever called Wanda the Scarlet Witch before, everyone else in the MCU has a codename, so it wouldn't make sense for Wanda to be the only one who doesn't have one.
surprised no one has ever mentioned this in the thread: the cat in loki's office... has to be a flerkin, right? RIGHT?? so when they all return to the tva, the flerkin saves them all, right? RIGHT??
