Marvel's 'Loki' Series Lands 'Rick Morty' Writer as Showrunner, Plot Sounds Like 'Quantum Leap'

Michael Waldron, a writer for the anarchic and ambitious animated series Rick and Morty, has been hired to serve as showrunner on the new streaming series.

Sources say the show will follow Loki as the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events.

 

Hiddleston said this will be 6 hours/episodes long.

It just dawned on me that Loki may be my favorite MCU character, and still has so much untapped potential. Tom Hiddleston has done such a great job, excited for this

I’ve noticed that but at the same time, Loki is a beloved character within the fan base so I can see why they upped the production values for his show. That or it’s because it’s the most important of the three going into Dr. Strange and Spider-Man.
