been avoiding this thread because I'm rewatching and not caught up, but I've gotta post because I'm an idiot. three rewatches in and I finally noticed, in the last scene of 2x22, that when Fitz slips on the glass he knocks the lock of the Monolith door. so, he's the reason it can burst out and take Simmons immediately after.

just when I thought this damn show couldn't get any more heartbreaking

Did I miss something or is there is reason why one of the Chronicoms didn’t just stay behind in the 50s while the others just jumped back to the present day so the team would have to follow them and it would be too late to stop their plans? Because like what’s the point of bringing the team to the day of Insight’s launch when the goal is to mess up the timeline anyway?

I’m pretty sure one chronicom did get left behind in the 50s when they jumped and he had a scene with Malick.

Right but I’m talking about when they went to 1973, three years before Insight was going to launch, and then the chronicoms decided to mess with them and jump directly to the day of the launch. Why didn’t they just leave a couple chronicoms behind again and have the others jump ahead so far that SHIELD wouldn’t be able to stop them?

Ah yeah that’s a good point.

Also, I'm not really sure why it's such a big deal that they've "given away their position". They've been in direct combat against the chronicoms several times now, both this season and last season, and they've always been totally fine. What's the big deal about shooting down the rocket lol. They're treating it like such a big deal it was the cliffhanger ending of the episode this week.

finally caught up with this show. I've gotta be honest, if it keeps this level of quality up, 7 might end up being my favourite season of the whole thing. every episode is so fresh and surprising and fun, the overarching storyline is so good and I love every single character so much (especially May, jesus I love May)

....my only problem is no Fitz, again. I know they love to isolate him from the rest of the cast but damn, did Iain just straight up dip out of this whole season lol

Yeah I'm sick of not seeing Fitz.

They're kind of generally doing some really bizarre things for a final season of a long-running television show with some of these characters, like not showing us Fitz at all and making May totally emotionless except for when she touches someone else. This really doesn't feel like a last hurrah with the characters we love atm, despite how fun the individual episodes have been.

Yeah I'm really missing Fitz. I know he was filming another project which I think is why he was written out of a lot of this season but hopefully he shows up soon. We need Bobo!

I actually love what they're doing with May personally. Ming-Na is such a terrific actress and she doesn't always get to use her range on this show, they're letting her show her full talents now and I absolutely love it. I'm also sure her relationship with LMD Coulson is gonna build to a great end - this show is way too good at character arcs to fumble the ball right at the end

but yeah gimme some fucking Fitz ASAP - Iain is a phenomenal actor and I can't blame him for taking other projects but it's the last damn season!

I was just listening to Gaslighter by The Chicks and totally forgot that my mind was blown a few months back when I found out it's about the guy that plays General Talbot.

wait, for real? that's pretty wild

Pasdar gave one of my favourite performances on this show. he was always so good, but Talbot's arc into becoming Graviton is straight up one of my favourite things this show has ever done

that was a gnarly episode, scene with Mack and his parents at the end was almost as brutal as Simmons killing LMD Fitz
    can't wait for next week

Tonight's episode is called "The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and The D"

The show's transformation into Legends of Tomorrow is complete lol

one of the greatest episodes of the entire show tbh, I'm weak

Not checking in with Fitz at least once per episode is some bullshit. Huge disappointment this season.
