    A very fun album!

It’s funny, in a lot of ways this feels like a successor to Stay Gold. I’ve always loved rock Butch, and I like this more than the last two albums. But then in a way… it doesn’t feel markedly different than that. It doesn’t feel like a Marvelous 3 album. It feels like a rock album from Butch, with wistful lyrics about band-centric stuff. That’s to be expected since his solo writing is decades-old at this point compared to how long he was writing M3 songs.

It doesn’t matter though: the songs are great. “Time to Let It Go” is particularly stunning. I cannot wait to see the live stream from Atlanta!

Personally, the M3 of it all really does come through for me on this album. More than a few moments that remind me of Hey! Album especially. It's got more of a classic power-pop sound than I think Butch usually goes for solo.

Yeah I don’t think he’s ever completely abandoned this kind of sound. It’s in smaller doses throughout the solo albums, where this is a more concentrated form

  6. I recognize Jackie and Tina from an IG story he posted a while ago (before Glenn I think). Glad we got that one!

Tuned in for the livestream. The ReadySexGo vinyl is up for preorder, too. $50 for a 2xLP is too rich for my blood, though.

I ended up getting both vinyl variants and a t-shirt. Cost me nearly $AU 300 inc shipping

Not gonna lie, I’m a little annoyed that people who bought the livestream got access to the vinyl before people who bought tickets to the shows.

They had RSG for sale at the merch table in an in-person color (red).

Yeah, I know, but I’m going next week in Chicago and that variant is limited to 1,000 copies. I’m not sure how much stock they’ll even have left.

I can send you a link to the live stream versions if you want

    I would appreciate that, thanks!

  14. I went to the show Friday night and they sold out of the RSG vinyl while I was in the merch line. Partially my fault for waiting until after the show to grab it (really didn't feel like holding it the whole set and thought there would be enough to go around being /1000), but it was super aggravating watching people leave the venue with 4 and 5 copies.

Yeah, I was worried about all of this.

I did find a listing for an expanded edition purple vinyl supposedly coming next month. Not sure how legit this is, but something to keep an eye on: https://upcomingvinyl.com/record/marvelous-3-readysexgo-expanded-edition-purple

I know people got copies last night, so I think they divided the pressing amongst all the shows and capped it per night.

  18. Yes, they definitely didn't sell all 1000 copies Friday night!

    @FurtherFromSky Moderator

Yeah, it's not great, but if they only had 1,000 copies and were splitting it up across four shows, it's not too surprising that it went pretty fast. And at least you didn't have to tote a 2xLP around all night!

This album is highly enjoyable. So glad it exists.

One of the best shows I’ve ever been to, absolutely. So much joy onstage and in the room, a killer setlist, and the visual elements of the show were pretty impressive. Loved every second of it and so glad I could be there for closing night.

Super jealous of everyone who got to go. At least the live streams were excellent

I assume Butch produced this? It sounds EXACTLY how I want a rock band to sound. Pristine

If they did a full tour would it not sell well enough in normal big markets? Just curious.

My guess is that the other guys in the band don’t want to do a full tour.
