Shawn Levy is a menace to society and Gosling tying himself to him for two huge franchise properties causes more concern over Gosling’s career than it does optimism for their Star Wars movie
I was skeptical after the first episode, but ended up caring a lot about the characters they brought in. Season 3 shifted to a new locale and characters so wasn’t as good for me as I had grown attached to the first two season’s, but ended up being an action packed ending to the season from what i remember. the only thing giving me pause about watching the next season at this point is I can’t imagine they do the big reunion everyone wants in this show. But also can’t imagine they’re gonna fire up any other new show to do it? Who knows
i posted that because that's the only thing i can imagine is people don't like his movies (generic/formulaic) lol
Yeah Levy’s just an anonymous director basically. Seems to be good with stars and studios. Nothing special about him. No one’s saying wow I can’t wait for the next Levy film
I think I saw the first two seasons and fell behind. I should get caught up since it's ending with S4.
I imagine this is why Marvel likes him, plus the fact that Deadpool + Wolverine made a billion dollars.
Like, the fact that apparently Gosling came to Feige with this and brought both Levy and the scriptwriter for Starfighter along for the ride at least tells me Gosling is better prepared than Ali was.
Anyway, Would be interesting, but I kind of hope they do the classic origin with Zarathos and bulk up that side of the MCU with all kinds of demons and whatnot. It's easy to simplify things by making it all Mephisto, but for the sake of world building, I'd prefer diversity.
