I've never watched Iron Fist, so I can't really pass judgement in the discourse. Thought the actor was fine in The Defenders, even if his character was written to be an incredibly frustrating ass hat in it
Danny had more to work with in season 2 of Iron Fist, imo, but it still had much room for improvement. I trust the Born Again creatives to get him right

tbh, people who don't heavily follow these films probably won't remember what specific role she had in Shang-Chi. I think a special presentation would be better than a 4.5 hour tv show
I doubt a show would focus just on her, especially in this new era. Pretty positive they'd involve Shang-Chi or at least somebody to be a tentpole for the project.
I always thought the show was a missed opportunity to correct the comics by casting Danny as Asian. I don't like the idea of a white superhero so heavily influenced by Asian culture when he could've just as easily been depicted as Asian to begin with, but I guess the character was originated in a different time. I don't know anything about the character tho bc I never read the comics or watched the show. I think another character who's actually Asian has taken over the mantle in the comics, so at least we have that
There hasn’t been any mention of what the show would cover, but I’d be more interested in it being about Xialing ruling the Ten Rings, than an anthology of past events.
I understand all of this, and I would have been totally okay if they went this route from the beginning (another missed opportunity for Lewis Tan), but since they already bit the bullet, I want them to continue, especially if Colleen is continuing to share the Fist, which I hope she is. Mainly it's because of Cage and Rand's relationship, because Rand is white, and in a position of privilege, which makes him an interesting counterpoint to Cage, and how they bounce off each other. And because Danny is who he is, I think there's some layers to unravel there, should they choose to do that. They started to in his Luke Cage appearance.
Marvel may try to have their cake and eat it too. Danny could be utilized in Born Again S3 and a potential Heroes for Hire spin-off, while Colleen is Iron Fist in her own show. If D+ shifts to prioritizing street level heroes, there’s room for both.
