Finished Wonder Man and that was such a beautiful ending. It makes me mad to know I can't trust Marvel to follow up on this at all because I would love to see more. It's interesting that in the end Cleary says Simon can be a threat or an asset which tells me they have something specifically in mind for him, and I'm wondering what it could be.
From the ending I’m wondering if Xialing and her Ten Rings will go after Trevor for impersonating the group again
I say they should make a West Coast Avengers film and include Wonder Man, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Scarlet Scarab, maybe introduce Tigra, figure out who else isn't on a team who's up for grabs.
That's way too many new characters, It's better that they just focus on the ones they already have instead of bringing in new ones just so they can abandon them again.
My ideal West Coast Avengers is Wonder Man, She-Hulk, Vision, Shang-Chi, & Stature. East Coast Avengers is Captain America (Sam), Yelena, U.S. Agent, Kate Bishop, and Spider-Man. Maybe Sentry. Not sure if he would be an official member or just do his own thing.
They've introduced all of those characters (except Tigra) is my point and done nothing with them. Well Wonder Man just came out, but still.
Kind of hoping the "Thunderbolts" will stay their own thing. Frankly, team ups are the only hope for seeing most of these characters again, so let's have as many as possible.
I don’t think all of the New Avengers will make it out of Doomsday/Secret Wars. Those that are still around will join the Avengers
I don’t see them doing West Coast Avengers at all. My guess is the only new teams that form are Champions/Young Avengers and Midnight Sons.
Champions will be a show. Rachna Fruchbom was hired as the showrunner. I'm not sure if we'll ever see the team together in any of the films.
I hope not. I hate killing characters off willy nilly when they still can be useful and be explored. I mean, in the end, Infinity War and Endgame only killed like three characters and one of them still got a movie afterwards. I was halfway joking but it would be easier and probably more cost-effective to explore some of these characters in one place instead of hoping they get back to them in solo projects sometime before never. Plus the Avengers name sells. Maybe you don't.
I can't see that West Coast Avengers lineup having any pull for a movie. Maybe back in the day when Marvel was stronger
So a show then. Lower budget, less stakes, more time to focus on the characters, and these characters were introduced in the shows anyway.
In fact, if you include Wonder Man and She-Hulk, there's a potential to fold the concept in with what New Warriors was going to be. Make it more comedic, some irreverance but with heart. I guess Moon Knight wouldn't work for that, but he's probably gonna be in Midnight Sons anyway. Instead, you could introduce Squirrel Girl!
Until Marvel gets its high back with the X-Men, I don’t really see them introducing many new characters. As far as the “Avengers” go, I think they’ll probably stick with what they’re giving us in these 2 Avengers films. If Punisher is well received in BND, I think more doors will open for characters from the shows to jump into films.
Nah “we” as in the casual audience. No coincidence the numbers for the MCU dropped hard when they began to over saturate their content on disney+. Luckily Disney/Marvel became aware years later and stopped doing that
They didn't make shows for teams though and I'm not talking about making shows about entirely new teams. I'm saying take the characters they've already introduced and put them in a team together to make it easier for people to follow and so they don't get forgotten or neglected. It's much easier to cycle projects of four or five ensembles than it is to cycle ten to twelve solo projects. I'd argue if Marvel had been doing this all along it would have tied this Saga together a hell of a lot more.
Just make a GREAT x men flick. Honestly dgaf about anything else. I’d like to see something as good as ‘97 in live action before I croak.
Wonder Man was a breath of fresh air. Kind of depressing that it got delayed and then dumped when it is the very thing the MCU needs to reconnect to good character-focused storytelling. Only episode I didn’t like was the 7th which got kinda silly and too sitcom-conundrum-y.

I had a dream last night that the MCU made a 3rd TASM movie with Andrew and Kirsten Dunst's MJ and now I want it to happen during Secret Wars
