So I have not watched the second half yet but I've read spoilers and uh... are they banking on making a season 2? Because a cliffhanger like this is a bold fucking choice.
Honestly I think any cliffhangers from the shows will just be unceremoniously wrapped up in the movies at some point.
I could seriously see whatever this cliffhanger is, and the Moon Knight cliffhanger, being tied into the eventual Midnight Suns movie. Mostly because I NEED more SBC as Mephisto
Moon Knight and [Ironheart spoiler character] are going to team up with Black Knight, Star Fox, Hulk’s son, and Hercules to fight the celestials in the incoming Blade movie.
Ironheart was fine. not bad but not great. mightve liked it more if i had more comics knowledge of who Mephisto is but that's never felt like a prerequisite before to enjoy any MCU project
Yeah my only knowledge of him is that he's the devil and the cause for Brand New Day in the spider-man comics
Just finished the finale. Not a fan of the ending. Can’t help but feel like it won’t get followed up.
Wait so Mephisto is actually in the show?! Ok the show instantly went up on my queue, right behind squid game.
I remember all the Mephisto hype and speculation during WandaVision (good times) and wonder if Marvel actually plants these characters subtly to build them up and then use them strategically to boost other projects (like Ironheart). Or they never even plan most kf these things intentionally but roll with the interest they see online… Or both? Iirc they didn’t expect Agatha to be so popular.
Probably both. But in Mephisto's case, he was never in WandaVision, people just assumed based on the story being adapted. Did that hype influence Ironheart? Probably.
