^ Same. I don’t really engage with the Entertainment forum so I don’t spot new individual movie threads. This one stays relevant for me since it’s now listed in my personal recent threads and it is helpful to get all MCU news/updates from here. I’m fine missing out on a more detailed/focused discussion in the individual threads in exchange for the value of having a more catch-all MCU news thread in my feed.
About to start Daredevil season one with my wife. I watched the first two seasons when they came out and that was it. Are the other Marvel Netflix shows worth watching after?
I don’t remember him in hot tub Time Machine but granted I haven’t seen that movie in over a decade nonetheless I love me some Sebastian Stan. He was great in I Tonya & the Bronze Sebastian Stan Got Marvel Role Amid 'Hot Tub Time Machine' Residuals
There’s a rumor going around social media that Coogler initially pitched Sinners as a Blade film but Marvel didn’t get on board lol
Apparently, Baby Driver was actually supposed to be a Blade movie where Blade drives a car. I haven’t seen the movie so driving a car is the extent of the references I can make for this joke. I also forgot to establish the link of Edgar Wright being a former Marvel director and him directing Baby Driver.
It blows my mind that they just can’t make a Blade movie happen, like all the dude does is hunt down vampires and shit.
It’s easy to make a Blade movie. Just outright say that there are streets and cities that the Avengers and super heroes ignore and that’s where vampires have been hiding and harming people who are easy to forget and that no one cares if they disappear. Police and heroes don’t care what happens there. Show some lesser heroes being bad guys there, thinking it’s safe to be corrupt there. Blade shows up and starts killing vampires and protecting the folks the heroes won’t. He drives a car and listens on earbuds to heavy-handed needledrops.
Fucking hell!! How hard is it for Marvel Studios to make a Blade movie?! They had the talent both in front and behind the camera and still couldn't get it made!
They probably had like 10 great ideas for a Blade movie but Marvel has some dumb internal arbitrary rule like “the movie can’t have more interesting ideas than the upcoming Avengers movies.”
