Why do people pretend sometimes that casting is spoilers? Sometimes it’s ok to know the core cast and basic premise of a movie beforehand, lol. And, revealing the Thunderbolts cast is in this makes a lot of sense for marketing that movie. How many mediocre films did well because of Infinity War & Endgame momentum? If you’re sure that these new movies are gonna be big, and selling this shit is your job, you wanna get fans to believe your May release is an important step towards that.
if you can remember a year from now that Pedro Pascal will be in a movie and that will ruin your enjoyment congrats on being the only person on the planet that applies to lol
Finished rewatching Jessica Jones Season 2, and God, Trish is such a pissant. Like, I can see now how they built up her needy insecurities over Season 1 and it makes total sense that this is where she'd end up. My heart breaks for Jessica.
Also fuck now that I think of it Krasinksi being Maker could be a possibility too Although in the comics Maker is a younger version of Reed so Teller still makes the most sense
Anything announced by the people making the movie is not a spoiler. I feel like that doesn’t need said. But people are mad about the announcements today? Sigh.
This would be a great way to introduce The Maker to the MCU. His role in Secret Wars and Ultimate Invasion make him one of the best villains.
Look, I think comic book Maker is great. And, unlike Josh, I think it’s cool and fun when elements of unsuccessful movies are utilized successfully elsewhere. But, this whole “Miles Teller should be the Maker” thing is bad imo, lol. No thank you.
Cool will remember this because that character regardless of who is playing him 100% is showing up either in Secret War or the post-credits of Doomsday. They aren't doing a big multiverse story without the coolest multiverse villain in their inventory and frankly probably the best Marvel comics villain of the last 25 years.
There have been good multiverse comics without the Maker. And, these adaptations have never been one-for-one. I wouldn’t put it past the Russos and Feige to throw some past Reed actor in as the Maker, but it’s far from a given and not a good idea, lol. Also, “best villain in 25 years” is such hyperbole.
I could see them bringing back thanos before introducing some villain no one except comic book fans know for their 2 big comeback movies.
Ok but what if they brought in Brolin to play Stryfe instead of Thanos (I say as if you’d know what the fuck that means)?
The best Marvel villain created in the 21st century and that isn't even a large list of major villains to compare to because there hasn't been much. I put him ahead of Mr. Negative, Gorr, Knull, Muse, The Hood, Steve Rogers' nazi evil twin, ect Cassandra Nova is close in my mind though
Because he was 1 of 2 major superhumans to end up in the 616 when the Ultimate universe collapsed during Secret Wars. Idk, maybe "shocking" is a bit much, but I would be surprised
