So all of the leaked concept art was from Secret Wars, not Doomsday.

 

Interesting they dont include hulk, spidey, or some other big names. Def not the full main cast. Dont care for a ton of fox x-men coming back but 100% here for Nightcrawler.

 

They also denied that concept art has anything to do with their movies. So who knows.

 

OG xmen is the only thing that got me excited remotely

 

I cannot stand these fan news accounts posting things like "the FULL Fantastic Four cast will appear in Avengers Doomsday!" oh really? wow no way

 

I was pretty done with the MCU but these empty chairs got me hyped

 

A lot of these feel like would be better if they left them as a surprise for the movie

 

I assume there will be further surprises (don’t mind if I’m wrong). I would have seen this regardless but the cast announcement has me excited. I think they need to drum up all they can for this movie

 

Beast was already in The Marvels so that's fine, but the other X-Men characters being announced almost feels like Marvel announcing their own spoilers during production.

Also the Thunderbolts characters being announced feels shitty to do during the lead up to that movie's debut. Great now I know Sentry survives.

Imagine if while marketing Deadpool and Wolverine Ryan Reynolds was like "Blade, Gambit, Elektra, and 2000's Johnny Storm are going to be in this!"

 

I'm sure they're saving some surprises.

I can picture it now. Final battle is going down. Not looking good for our Avengers. Suddenly, the Eternals show up like Gandalf and the Rohirrim in Two Towers. Crowd goes ballistic.

 

At least we got a surprise second album when Frank Ocean finished building that staircase in his livestream back in the day

In the comics there is an alternate universe version of Reed Richards that initially started as a hero in the Ultimate Marvel version of the Marvel Universe, when the Ultimate Marvel imprint ended they turned that version of Reed evil, made him a huge villain named Maker, and brought him in as a big bad in the main Marvel Universe.

There are some who think Miles Teller's version of Reed will be the Maker of the MCU in Secret Wars

I was going to say "that's a meta-joke too far" but then I remembered they brought back Chris Evans as the Human Torch so I think anything is possible really.

Also the 2015 FF movie was directly based on the Ultimate FF origin arc. Teller technically already played The Maker before his turn.

Maker's whole origin as a villain in the comics basically is he think his own universe sucks ass so he wants to find another lol

Josh isn't getting that the 2015 movie being dogshit and bombing as kind of a meta reason for that character becoming evil is a big part of why people think that would be cool and interesting.

 

Only option right now is for the both of you to fight it out in the streets.
