Because they weren't supposed to originally be in the show and Foggy was going to be killed off in the first episode. Things changed obviously, but it makes sense that they stuck with killing one of them when they're making a big deal about how happy and content the trio are now going into the premiere. And other reasons.

So yeah pretty convinced Foggy isn't surviving the season. I'd even wager that Karen doesn't make it to season 3 either.

 

Idk, I feel like it's been said that the show wasn't originally supposed to be a continuation of the Netflix show, but they reversed course and rewrote everything, so I'm still hopeful

It being a continuation of the Netflix show doesn't really change that though. They just weren't part of the original story they were telling. And parts of the original season 1 plan was used still. There was an outcry about it before they reworked the show and that's when they became part of it again. I'm still just guessing based off what's been said though, so I'm not trying to kill your hope or anything. I don't want them to die at all to be clear. But where there's smoke...
