Two episodes in to Iron Fist S1 rewatch and sorry, not sorry, but the bit with the M&Ms that made Joy realize Danny is really who he says he is was an extremely touching scene.
I joke about him a lot, but I wouldn’t word it as “always making fun” per se? He has a big personality and specific style of loud, unsubtle action to his comics, lol. But, I genuinely enjoy some of his shit. Like, X-Force #1-4 were some of my first comics when I was a kid. And, I have a bunch of his 90s Extreme Studios/Maximum Press/Awesome Comics work.
Finished rewatching episode 4 of Iron Fist and two thoughts: I have to believe the only reason Ward gave an interview like that is because of his self-destructive tendencies and not because he really thought the reporter would be on his side, although the thought of it in comparison to what's happening now in the real world is sobering. Also, it's interesting that they, even for a moment, look at Danny's upbringing with the monks as being abuse. I can't imagine monks from an alternate dimension are properly equipped to raise a child, definitely contributed to his trauma.
That scene in episode 5 where Ward assumes a hidden camera and flips off his dad is absolutely the moment I became Team Ward.
Truly curious who they might pass the torch to after Sam. Assuming the two most likely possibilities are just not having a Cap, and rebooting/having a new Steve Rodgers.
I get it, but that still sucks. I mean, he could totally still make it his own. I guarantee no one misses Terrence Howard as Rhodey or Edward Norton as Bruce.
