If we’re going with lazy antonyms, I’d want to see Apathetic Steve Rogers. He shows up and they’re like “Doom is bad and he’s doing bad stuff. We need your help” and he’s like “Ehh” and walks away.

 

Almost done rewatching Luke Cage Season 1, and I hope now that the Netflix shows are canon, they find a vehicle to bring back Diamondback and the loose ends of him and Dr. Burnstein.

Apparently JJS3 briefly mentioned him being sent to the Raft, but that's unsatisfying.

It'd be interesting to see him come back and maybe team up with Nightshade. He's just such a card-carrying villain and Harvey plays him with so much Large Ham tendencies, he's fun to watch.

 

I put on the first episode of the new Spider Man cartoon, just to watch a few minutes while I ate a sandwich, and my 4 year old and my wife came into the room and we all ended up watching the whole thing and we all enjoyed it. Great for the whole family.

 

Well yeah, it doesn’t have any of that woke mind virus shit thanks to a kid named, Hudson Thames.

 

I forgot about that. Lol. There’s a pretty clear but casual reveal that a main character is bi/gay and some heavy-handed class/racial commentary, which makes those comments even dumber.

I've actually been marathoning the old 90s cartoon lately. It's a lot of fun.

 

I might wait until the whole show is out and just binge it. I'm in no hurry.

I am curious about one villain's origin story though, without saying who or why.

Lonnie Lincoln, AKA Tombstone, normally a full-grown albino mobster with rock hard skin, here a high school football jock and all-around nice guy. And not albino. Gonna be interesting to see how he gets from Point A to Point B.

 

Oh dang. I didn’t know the real name of that villain. That is going to be very interesting to see how they make that happen (if it happens).

Just read the “leaked” Kang Dynasty script

 

One thing I've been thinking about Luke Cage as I rewatch is how the anger issues he deals with in Season 2 have always been there from the beginning.

When faced with emotional adversity, his instinct is to lash out. It's just that in JJ and LCS1 he had acceptable targets to take his frustration out on, for the most part, but even in JJ he almost killed that bus driver.

It's just interesting seeing how the seeds for future plotlines were always there, bubbling in the background.

It's the same thing with Nuke. When rewatching JJ and knowing what happens to him, I could more clearly see the moments of instability that his pills amplified but were always there under the surface.

Just some idle thoughts.

 

I'm only maybe 30 pages or so into this and real or not, I want this.

 

Holy shit, this is awesome so far. Why can't we have this again?

 

It’s actually not bad. Pretty dark, emotional, and a full-scale revenge story.

I did not expect the reason why Kang from Quantumania hated the Council of Kangs was because they killed his pregnant wife and burned his kingdom to the ground.

If it this real, it seems like Jeff did have a plan for Kang. If it’s fake, Marvel should look into hiring whoever wrote it.

Also did not expect Miles to appear as an established character within the first 15 pages. Perhaps that’s a spoiler for SM4?

Also, the West Coast Avengers already consisting of Shang-Chi, Skaar, Bruce, and Jennifer while Sam leads Riri, Joaquin, & Rhodes with Shuri in Wakanda I wouldn’t be surprised if we see that in Doomsday.

 

I'm halfway through and I'm also curious about events at the big get-together.

Moon Knight shaking Sam's hand like they already know each other, Punisher just riding up with Daredevil and no one comments, Wonder Man showing up and it's still not clear what his power set even is...

Hard to know if these are spoilers or just evidence this is fake. Although I'm also very intrigued by whatever is going on with Wonder Man. Someone died? I'm wondering if that's a spoiler for the show.
