That’s a moronic thing to say in an interview. That said, the show looked bad anyways. The only positive was that Charlie Cox was voicing Daredevil.
Beginning to worry that Disney thinks the violence was the main thing that made the show good vs a compelling script and character moments, but we will see
My first thought was “doubt”. Every time they hype stuff up it almost never pans out. I’d rather the dude just talk about making the show instead of telling me how much better it is and telling me what I liked or didn’t like about the Netflix series. Not saying I don’t think it’s going to be amazing, but just saying I could do without the hyperbole because now we have an expectation.
Yeah. I am getting “Rivers Cuomo saying their new album has a classic Blue Album sound” vibes. Until I see otherwise, the higher profile movies and shows are probably going to be pretty watered down outside of 1-2 character focused episodes and the cooler stuff is gonna accidentally slip through on their smaller scope projects like Agatha.
To be fair, he worked on Punisher, so he's not entirely talking out of his ass. He's legitimately comparing his time working on the Netflix shows to now.
I get it, but how else do you hype something up? It's either better, as good, or not. Those are the options.
I guess I should say that I don’t want to hear things that create specific expectations. Tell me how much better the show is, but don’t tell me it’ll top this or that scene from this or that movie/show. It’s the comparison that irks me because the scene could be great on its own, but it ends up like “oh it wasn’t as cool as that other scene though so that’s a bit of let down.” Idk I’m shit at explaining myself, which is why I turned down offers to do tutoring for money in high school. But I’m excited for this show. It’s going to be amazing. Dude is probably right. I just think building specific expectations in peoples’ heads is dangerous nowadays with these fandoms. It’s whatever to me in the end, but you know some of these lunatics online are gonna be enraged if it doesn’t top it. Lol
For me, it’s less a critique of someone being excited about their project and expressing it and more whether it provides anything to disavow me of my expectations after the last phase of content. I want it to be good though. I hope it is!
Eh I wasn't really a fan of the Punisher series tbh, but I should probably give it another chance, it's been years.
My guess : he is going to be MCU The Rose/Richard Fisk. In the comics The Rose is Wilson Fisk's son who eventually takes over for him as Kingpin of NYC in more recent comics
It's possible except that wouldn't make sense with the timeline unless he's from a previous relationship. My guess: Word is the original Season 4 treatment was going to involve Leland's son Lee being officially introduced as the Owl.
Bro, you were in the most recent MCU movie. Who are you kidding? Hope it’s true though. I’d rather wait to see him again in SW.
