Yeah, rumor is the storyline has now been folded into Doomsday.

 

I’m guessing the movie they tried to make is the one we heard about in 2021, when leakers mentioned that Marvel had spoken to Evans about a film.

I still don’t think any of the OGs will be used as heroes that help the new teams.

Marvel has to show it can last post-Secret Wars without those characters portrayed by the same actors. They’ll need to showcase the new people and get crowds to like them.

 

It really was Sony’s own decision to make films without Spider-Man lol

 

I thought we already knew that tbh. I've mostly heard it going the other way: Sony blocked the MCU from using villains they wanted for their villain universe (mainly Kraven).

Who is the danger in Doomsday?

While it’s always been Doom, the next two films are going to place a heavy amount of blame onto Dr Strange. It’s something Marvel has been building up with the character. One of the core structures of the films is that Strange is trying to reject the notion that all variants are meant to doom the universe, by making him the one who chooses to save it

Who will be the antagonists?

A LOT of variants. There will be an overwhelming number of variants that appear. Some are going to be good, some are going to be bad, and some are going to be really worse. As of now at least 4 anchor beings are appearing.

Chris Evans

One of the universes that will be visited is the one that Steve (from Endgame) and Peggy live in. We can expect to see that version of the character. However, some of the legacy actors will be playing double duty.

Major players

Thunderbolts will play a heavy role in Doomsday. Franklin Richards will play a heavy role in both films

Will NWH and MOM be important?

100% - the incursion Clea wants to fix is the same one from the end of NWH

Is Spider-Man still intended to be the lead of Doomsday, outside of Doom, or was that scrapped with Kang Dynasty?

 

No idea but Franklin wasn’t a major player with the initial Kang Dynasty draft. Shang-Chi also had a main role. Both of those have flipped, so it’s safe to assume the Russos have picked their own leads.

The leads for Doomsday seem to be Strange, Cap (Wilson), Thunderbolts, and Franklin (I’m guessing we can add F4 members to that).

 

I thought they prevented the incursion at the end of NWH and the one Clea mentions was due to his actions in MOM?
