War Zone is awesome! Film doesn't get enough (or any) credit.... I like Blade better actually, but both are great. I still really like the Punisher series so far. I hope it holds up, some of the netflix shows kinda slump towards the end.
I've actually heard a lot about this show/podcast from this site, I need to listen to them all. It being on YouTube makes it easier for me so I'll listen now at work Thanks!
I flew through most of their episodes in no time. Such a great show. It's also on Spotify now, which is wonderful.
I'd personally put Logan Noir at the top, then War Zone, and then Blade. I actually haven't watched Blade 2 yet, which I think I'd like more than the first Blade. Though, it's hard to beat the bloody rave and this quote:
I agree with the rave being top tier, as well as the subway fight where he pushes a vamps face into a moving train. That quote though.... that had to be improve right? It's one of those lines that the way its delivered makes it funny but it makes no sense lol.
These first two films are just classic. The second probably is the better film. GdT and improved special effects were a huge plus. Logan is definitely up there for me. Its awesome that a lot of the R-rated comic films have worked. Deadpool, Blade, Logan, and War Zone all worked for me.
It took two Deadpool films for me to fully accept that the character largely isn't for me, lol. Everything with Cable, Domino, and Juggernaut was great, though. Got me reading some old Cable comics. If that X-Force film materializes, I hope it's really Cable-centric. They'd have to streamline things, but I'd be really into them showing him as the original films' Cyclops & Jean Grey's kid. Maybe make Stryfe his brother or something. Maybe use time travel to bring in Hope as she currently exists in the comics.
I would be more enthusiastic about The Punisher if followed the War Journal format, like each episode is a different story.
Finished that one. Pretty good. Crazy that she says she's not a fan really of violence in films haha, that's dedication to the character!
I started watching all the MCU films from the beginning a few weeks ago. Had seen most but forgot a lot of details and hadn't seen The Incredible Hulk, any of the Thor movies, or Guardians 2. Just finished Phase 2. Looking forward to finishing them all up soon so I can finally check out Black Panther and Infinity War.
to be honest i don't think Comcast ever stood a chance and fox just wanted more money from Disney. i mean the new deal is 35.7 billion in cash and the rest in stocks. and they also get the 30% stake in hulu that fox has. Disney has all the money in the world to throw at fox if Comcast comes back with another offer but like the article posted here says fox already agreed to the new deal so...
Tim Allen is a weird person for me because I like him in Home Improvement, The Santa Clause and Toy Story a lot, but in everything else he leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Would be nice if it was an MCU film but it’s most likely going to be set in the Venom universe. Is Marvel allowed to explore with the characters that appeared in Homecoming if Sony makes solo films about the characters in their own universe?
Miles Morales stars in Sony's Enter the Spider-Verse film, which Spider-Gwen makes an appearance in. So, I suspect the deal with Marvel involved some sort of agreement in regards to who can use who in what capacity. Part of me wonders if this will end up being another animated film. Would make sense and be a pretty natural fit. Though, I also really want a great standalone live action Silk film. Also, in regards to Marvel Studios... Silk would be great for the MCU, but the MCU wouldn't necessarily be great for Silk at this juncture. Until they give us a Spider-Man film that doesn't feel like an Iron Man film, the more that Sony finds ways to work outside that deal, the better.
