I get it, but I'm kind of glad they're not aping WandaVision too much by trying to recreate that dynamic. I hope they still do homages and it sounds like they will, but this allows them to be done more naturally within the context of their journey.
Honestly think that's a bit unfair to Feige since he was not in charge of the decision making until Civil War, well after the Phase 3 slate was determined.
Didn’t Kevin threaten to walk after the Committee tried to stop the Steve and Tony fight in Civil War?
The Ending Of Captain America: Civil War Was Almost Destroyed By The Marvel Creative Committee - SlashFilm There's also a claim Perlmutter tried to have Downey Jr. fired from Civil War because of his high salary. Wonder what he thinks of the reported Doomsday payday.
First confirmation that other X-Men actors will be in the MCU after Secret Wars McAvoy and Fassbender…please. I’d also be down to see more of Munn’s Psylocke and Condor’s Jubilee.
It would be cool to see Steve going back and telling him about HYDRA/SHIELD and how it ultimately broke him away from being attached to being merely the idea of a hero. It would have been a good short. Can’t imagine there’s enough material for a show. Anyway, Marquand is great and I hope he gets more MCU appearances.
Oh, I don't know. I mean, he had to return all six stones so he could have had any kind of adventure with each one of them. In fact, it'd be wild if he returned the Soul Stone first and Red Skull joined him in the wildest buddy comedy Marvel's ever attempted.
I could see a limited series or a movie for that story. But I don’t think they’ll do either at this point.
It's a shame because it feels like the kind of obvious side story that the TV shows should be made for. To explore tangents that appeal to certain crowds but won't take away from the main narrative in the films.
I liked Red Skull’s small role in those Avengers movies because it was weird and I love weird. But, I don’t think it’d work if you dwelt on it, and especially if he met Steve (or Bucky). If that happened, you’d have to grapple with the fact that the character is a Nazi created in the early 1940s, as a representation of that era’s fascism and all that entailed, for Cap to battle against.
I'm honestly glad they chose not to do Lady Death as I think it would have been a bit too out there and I think what they replaced it with was a better and more interesting motive.
