It's kinda nice that April Fools in a Sunday this year, which means it's easy to disregard all the jokes since there is no real news coming out today
This is real news (a bit of a hypothetical from the writer) but it’s exactly the direction I want the Doctor Strange sequel to go. DOCTOR STRANGE Writer Confirms Nightmare As The Sequel's Villain; Outlines Baron Mordo's Role
There were sources saying a leak would come out this week. It looks like we’re getting The Eternals once the Guardians trilogy wraps up. Exclusive: Marvel’s New ‘Phase 4’ MCU Franchise – The Eternals!
JACK KIRBY FOR DAYS Get Taika Waititi to helm this. Between this, Ava DuVernay's New Gods, and Brian K Vaughan's Silver Surfer, we could be getting SO MUCH KIRBY, and that's SO GOOD.
This would definitely be something Taika could jump on. I don’t see Marvel giving any of their characters a fourth film (sorry, Thor) but Taika’s Ragnorak mixed with the cosmic exploration levels of the Guardians films would be bank. More Kirby visualization is great too.
You ever read Neil Gaiman and JRJR’s The Eternals? I know I read it, but I can’t remember it for the life of me.
I have it on my shelf and have been meaning to read it. Was actually thinking about it not that long ago, after reading Johns and JRJR's Superman. Romita Jr can really channel some Kirby/Simonson vibes when he wants to.
Part of me wonders if this is specifically Feige's replacement for Inhumans after Marvel Television took that, lol. Though, since that series didn't intersect with anything else from what I've heard, I'm still hoping that eventually becomes the first MCU property to be rebooted/retconned.
Weren’t Inhumans only on the movie docket because of Ike and his insane mandate to make them the new X-Men? Once Feige took control of the MCU and saw how badly it was working in the comics it was probably the first thing he got rid of. Although I did always love the idea of Vin Diesel getting to play Black Bolt. A role where we see him but he never speaks, and a role where he speaks but we never see him.
The director also directed the Cloak & Dagger pilot, and while marketing that series, she's said that they want to work on the script more before moving forward with anything else. I imagine it was easier to cast a big fan of Venom as Eddie Brock and jump into production, with little tweaks along the way. Silver & Black seems like something that requires more work to get right. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come out until 2020, though maybe they'll get production going fast enough to release fall 2019.

http://www.vulture.com/2018/05/mark-jay-duplass-on-making-it-as-brothers.html Mark: Yes. There was a moment where Marvel was interested in us taking on one of their properties. It would have been a $150 to $180 million budget and about three years of our lives. Jay: “We own you,” essentially.
Glad they didn’t do it. Wonder which property Marvel approached them about. Stylistically I guess maybe they would’ve fit with Spidey, Doctor Stranage or Ant-Man?
I imagine it was Ant-Man once the original director was booted. I still wish I could have seen an Ant-Man film with Edgar Wright in the director’s chair.
