They already have a relationship with Disney now though. They just directed at least one episode for the new Star Wars show, Skeleton Crew. So it’s a tiny bit more believeable now. Lol
Marvel tried to get the Daniels to direct season 1 of Loki, but they turned it down due to EEAAO exploring the multiverse. With them being tied to Universal, the idea of them doing SM4 is unlikely.
Regarding Shang-Chi 2, Alex stated in his AMA that, at least from what he last heard, the story will keep its time-related premise and focus on the ancient connection between Wenwu (more Tony Leung, yay) and Genghis Khan. That connection set in motion generational problems that led to consequences in the modern age. Jimmy Woo will also start the process of creating Agents of Atlas
Oh man, excited for the eventual Hercules/Amadeus Cho buddy comedy we all absolutely need in these trying times.
I think they meant they’re looking at the ‘au pair of directors’ which means Spider-Man 4 is being directed by Ron Howard.
Last I heard they were trying to make it a Deadpool and Wolverine style character team-up to try and save the project but I guess Feige wasn’t swayed by E.T.ernals.
I still enjoy rewatches of Eternals, but it was simply too ambitious for a 2.5 hour film. It should have been a Disney+ show.
I liked Eternals, but this would be funny, especially if they referenced it at every opportunity, unlike the ocean corpse.
“Cap, take a look at this digital file. Apparently, they’re called the Eternals.” “So we knew about them?” “Yeah. But they’re all dead now.” “Rest in peace….did you find the file on Red Hulk?” “Here it is now.”
Honestly no one on earth needs to even know about the members of the eternals. The only character connected to them outside of the members is Thanos anyways.
