Starting The Marvels, and yeah I immediately get why the average casual MCU viewer who doesn't watch every episode of every Disney+ show would be lost and overwhelmed by this.

 

I loved Captain Marvel and liked Ms. Marvel but I was kinda bummed by the Marvels. Maybe it’s cause I watched it on Disney+ and not in theatres but it felt like a long episode continuation of a Disney+ show rather than an epic feature with one of the most powerful super heroes in the MCU.

 

This isn't a dig or meant insultingly, I'm simply curious, why did you love Captain Marvel?

 

At no point in time did I expect The Marvels to be an epic feature.

 

Why do you say that?

 

I mean, what made you think it would be? It’s hard to explain the lack of a feeling/thought.

 

Every film set in space should be epic, or why even.

 

In general, I always think of the films as ideally telling a larger scale story that looks and feels distinct from the tone/pace/constraints of the shows. I didn’t mean to say that it was going to be the best MCU movie or comparatively more epic, if that’s what it maybe came across as me saying?
