Stupid Sony thinking about doing stupid Sony shit. Very shocking. Most people want it to be grounded and they’re both probably already going to be in Secret Wars, so there’s no reason to overuse them.

Depends on what they mean by “grounded.” Recent “scoops” are that Daredevil and Ant-Man will involved, the villain will be Kingpin, and that it’s been described as a street-level civil war. That will be more grounded than recent Marvel films. Not really “grounded” in the sense of the Netflix shows, but “grounded” in that no multiverse or over-powered characters will be involved. There really is no need to bring any multiverse stuff into it if the aim is on Parker interacting with the street-heroes. If Sony was smart they would make their own film with Tobey and Andrew that’s set before Secret Wars. No need to go through Marvel Studios.
I’m excited to watch the marvels on Feb 6th. Hope to be pleasantly surprised because I have 0 expectations.
