Or, conversely, don't nerf him and that's why we need variants to help take him on. Then bring in Cosmic Moon Knight.
Sorry, that post-credits scene means he's at least going to space. Between the rings and the bangles, what are the chances we get a cosmic necklace or earrings?
That just feels too much for me. Secret Wars will also be grand. I just want a good crossover breather before the roller coaster starts.
I have no idea what anyone means when they talk about "rushing Doom." He's... Doom. You just have him come on the scene, in a full suit of armor with some green cloth over it, delivering dramatic monologues while ruling his fictional European nation with an iron fist. There are a handful of confirmed upcoming projects that he'd effortlessly be able to cameo in. And, if Marvel Studios aren't complete fools, he'll still be around after Secret Wars. The only important bit of characterization that I'd wanna see in "Avengers 5" or Secret Wars is a reference to his past with Reed & Ben, which would take about as much time as the backstory Thanos got in Infinity War.
If, in the end, Kang was just 3-4 variants that showed up and acted like a silly little guy who talked funny in a few different ways for a little bit, that’d be kinda funny within the reality of the MCU (not funny when you think about the real life context for it).
I'd be perfectly ok with Kang's MCU run being over. Let Ant-Man have this victory. Sure, Kang killed a multitude of Avengers but he had never met 616 Scott Lang.
We at least had previous films that established his connection to Nebula and Gamora, which I felt would have been worse if none of it was known until Infinity War. And I don't trust Marvel to give Doom a proper intro, backstory, and time all in one film. One will be sacrificed or just mentioned in passing. I like the rumor of Molecule Man being the big bad of F4 but maybe some history with Doom can be added if they feel the need to use him as plan B instead of waiting for him to appear naturally.
Ehyo best and worst MCU villains? Considering I think none of them are memorable, the only ones I'm coming up with are Ultron, who was done poorly and whoever Guy Pearce played who was also bad. @Tim
That rumor is at least a year old. He’s been rumored to be Nova, Doctor Doom, and Silver Surfer. He denied the Nova role, which was the first one, and said he’d rather play Ghost Rider
Love IM3, still underrated a decade later, but Guy Pearce is definitely… serviceable? If only we’d gotten the intended version where Rebecca Hall is the final villain. My go-to favs are Hela, Killmonger, and Scarlet Witch. Maybe also Vulture, even though I really don’t care for that movie. I also think the Guardians’ villains have all suited their films well; the clear weakest link is Ronan, but he’s still better than the common perception and the right threat for that particular putting-the-team-together story.
