I think the arguing between the two individuals has mostly stopped and the more people draw attention to it just makes a bigger deal out of something that's ultimately nothing at this point
I think Marvel should just hire me to do a Madcap movie because I want to do justice to this costume.
Like, this is ignoring that there are plenty of people with contrary opinions that I get along with and the ones I end up arguing with tend to be the same people, so no, I don't think I'm the one with an issue here. Also ignoring that you asked my opinion, I gave it in a reasonable fashion, and you continued to give me a hard time about it.
Ya’ll are asking too much. I don’t want a new movie or project or whatever. I just want someone to be like “oh yeah, there is a giant alien god corpse sticking out of the ocean, huh?”
Like when Chernobyl was on fire in 2020, I talked about that shit daily. I can’t imagine how fixated I’d be on a giant space god corpse just sticking out of earth
I'm guessing people on this Earth in the MCU are just so used to seeing weird/wild shit that it doesn't phase them anymore. You gotta imagine with what they were doing around adamantium and the Chitauri weapons at different points, they would be digging all through that corpse for anything
If I was in a world where half of the universe was instantly turned to dust due to a purple alien then yeah, I'd be pretty numb to anything that comes after. That's why some of the later stories in the MCU sometimes seem trivial to me. Generic villain: "Hey guys, I know we just got turned to dust because the Avengers weren't able to stop Thanos, but lets keep making things miserable for the avengers by being crooks and wanting to gain power lol it's not like there are more important things at hand or that we should all be helping each other after such an catastrophic event"
Idk, they seem to talk about the blip a lot, to the point where they coined a zangy nickname for it lol
I mean, they literally have "Thanos Was Right" merch and a whole ass musical dedicated to the Battle of New York, statues and everything, so I'm kinda not buying "giant alien corpse the size of a mountain sticking out of the Indian Ocean is business as usual" lol
Yeah but that's the problem. They've established your first point but have disregarded your second. Until Thunderbolts apparently.
Not entirely sure I follow you Oakhurst. My point is simply that the people of earth are kinda always talking about the crazy nonsense that’s happening EXCEPT for the giant space corpse lol
I'm agreeing with you. I think its a problem in the MCU that they have put a big emphasis on alot of events but haven't mentioned the gaint hand sprouting from the ocean.
It kinda makes sense to me that people would keep bringing up half the population being erased and aliens invading NYC for the first time than constantly bringing up an alien mountain statue that as far as we know didn’t really affect anyone besides being a wtf moment.
